Dugany Am (canyon in the Gobi)

on the way from Yolyn Am to Khongoryn Els, and if you have the nerves for it (and the right driver), an adventurous way takes you through Dugany Am, a spectacular and narrow gorge. the gorge is blocked with ice until july and can be impassable even after the ice has melted, so you have to check with the park ranger first before heading off there.

have a look at the pics and see for yourself how narrow the gorge gets - our car really did not have much space left on either side when passing through the narrowest part of it all...
